Objectives:
The event aimed to raise awareness about suicide prevention, foster emotional resilience
among students, and create a safe space for sharing personal experiences and reflections.
Activities Conducted
1.Awareness Stall:
A thoughtfully designed stall was set up where students were encouraged to express themselves through:
Personal stories of friends and family members who had attempted suicide. Quotes and messages of hope, healing, and encouragement.
Reflections on their own emotional struggles and moments of vulnerability.
2.Interactive Games & Emotional Awareness Activities:
To engage students in a lighter yet meaningful way, puzzle-solving games and emotion-based activities were conducted. These included:
Emotion recognition challenges
Group-based problem-solving tasks
Mindfulness and self-reflection exercises
3.Student Participation & Impact
The response from students was overwhelmingly positive.
Many participants shared heartfelt messages and stories, contributing to a deeply empathetic and supportive atmosphere.
The activities helped students better understand their own emotions and those of others, promoting emotional intelligence and peer support.
4. Outcome
The event successfully created a platform for open dialogue around mental health and suicide prevention. It fostered a sense of community and solidarity among students. The initiative was praised for its sensitivity, creativity, and impact.
Conclusion
The Suicide Prevention Awareness Stall was not just an event—it was a movement toward compassion, understanding, and healing. By blending emotional expression with engaging activities, DY Patil B-School took a commendable step in supporting student mental health and well-being.
